Report on "Education and the Circular Economy" Webinar
The Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP) and Taiwan EPA organized the "Education and the Circular Economy" Webinar on December 22, 2022, inviting people from all over the world who are interested in circular economy to enjoy a fruitful Webicar with experts from different countries to share their beliefs and cases, with Prof. Shih-Tsen Nike Liu, the Co-Host of APRC, as the moderator.
William Wescott from BrainOxygen leads the audience to explore the meaning of circular economy by posing questions, and use the Butterfly Diagram to illustrate the circular economy practices. Moreover, through practical figures, the audience can have a better understanding about the advantages of circular economy.
Czarina Constantino-Panopio of WWF shared the "No Plastics in Nature Initiative", an actual case in the Philippines where circular economy is implemented, allowing the audience to understand that circular economy is a system that can be successfully implemented by all stakeholders working together.
Through the sharing of theories and actual cases of circular economy, the audience will have a better understanding of the issue and be inspired to put circular economy into practice.
