Internship Site
Chihnan Forest Recreation Area / No. 65, Linyuan Rd., Shoufeng Township, Hualien County 974011, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Website: https://recreation.forest.gov.tw/en/Education/NC?typ_id=CN
Chihnan is one of three major legends of Hualien Forest: the starting point of Mt. Halun forest railway features an old train with a locomotive engine, lumber collecting machine, numerous materials, and old pictures. In addition to the history, Chihnan has various Moraceae and Lauraceae dominant forests with Eastern Taiwan’s only Formosan Bulbul (Pycnonotus taivanus), butterflies, and fireflies. This spot is a great choice for getting close to nature.
