2022 Taiwan Ocean International Forum
In 2020, when COVID-19 swept the world, many scheduled activities were suspended due to the pandemic. However, the development of earth conservation and marine economy has not been interrupted. Since ocean covers about 72% of the earth's surface, it is the origin and basis of all life and livelihoods, including transportation, fisheries, resource development or climate regulations. Ocean is closely related to human health and sustainable prosperity of nature.
In the 2022 Taiwan International Ocean Forum, there are a keynote speech, “Empowering the Public in Marine Biodiversity Protection for a Sustainable Ocean”, and four panel sessions, which are “Marine Science, Technology and Industries”, “Marine Education”, “Ocean Conservation”, and “Maritime Safety & Security”. We hope that this Forum can be the platform to promote interaction, exchanges and cooperation between industries, government, academia, and research units around the world. In the past year, the pandemic hit the world hard and we need to know what happens to our ocean. This Forum can not only be the platform to share knowledge but also provide directions for future marine scientific research and marine-related industries.
