Only by maintaining the health of the natural environment can human civilisation prosper.

When I was 15 years old, I started Camp Green Giant for elementary school students in remote areas. Each year, different high school girls join the planning team to design different environmental themes and teach children how to implement environmental protection in their lives through games. By implementing this environmental education, more people will take environmental protection seriously and change their daily behavior, and children will take action to influence their elders. I designed the camp to promote human connection, not only to empower female students, to benefit primary school students with fewer learning resources, but also to raise environmental awareness and action among all participants, which I think is the important and beautiful part of environmental education.

Under the global wave of Friday for Future youth action, I initiated the speech "Speak for Future" in NTU. I invited all students who volunteered to speak out about their relationship with climate change to take the microphone and tell their stories in the square and take different actions to address climate change. Some of the students had a rare opportunity to speak openly at the event and made a strong call to work together and remind each other of the importance of climate change in order to face this big challenge. Some foreign students also took the opportunity to share their different thinking on climate change between their home countries and Taiwan, bringing different imaginations to the Taiwanese students.

Also, during my tenure as director of NTUSA, I initiated the idea that NTU's campus affairs fund should be invested responsibly. By invoking the principles of responsible investment in the financial industry and corporate ESG performance as a reference for the university's investment principles, the university has successfully contributed to the withdrawal of all investments in high pollution and high carbon emission enterprises by the end of 2020. NTU is the first university in Asia to implement the principle of responsible investment in 2021. Last year, I also assisted the university in evaluating the carbon neutrality assessment of NTU, and the president announced that carbon neutrality would be an important development direction for NTU by 2048, making it the first university in Taiwan to make a commitment to carbon neutrality. I also became the PM of this carbon-neutral project, responsible for planning the carbon neutral pathway and implementation strategy, which is an important experience to influence the decision of climate action with my professional knowledge.
