【Special Topic】2nd Environmental Youth Leader Project of Taiwan EPA - Daniel Lee
Feel it, learn it, and want it more
I am Ming-Feng Lee, nicknamed Xiaoqiang (the nickname for cockroach in Taiwan). I am the founder and senior lecturer of Youth Volunteer Service for Eco-Friendship (Taiwan), also the volunteer leader of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Foundation.
I spare no effort in promoting environmental education and launched the Green Micro Revolution (the environmental protection and life education campaign) and the Green Young Promotion Program for training youth leadership skills.
I was a low-achieving student who has been labeled a problem student in the past, so he felt inferior to himself. After joining the scout club in his third grade of elementary school, I was deeply inspired and started the path of promoting the public welfare and environmental education. I founded a cross-school, cross-regional, and cross-age youth self-organized service team in Taiwan at 15, and had called on more than 3,500 young people to pull together to care for the environment during the 12 years as the leader. In the past decade, I had been praised seven times by Taiwan president and been affirmed by major media reports.
I expect people to influence each other, to continue exert a positive influence, to advocate actions to change the perception to the public for environmental protection. By so that they could feel, learned how important environmental protection is, and still want to do something about that will influence more people to pull together to start paying attention to and practice environmental sustainability issues from life!
